“I’ve been studying yoga with Starr Sanborn for several years and have made terrific progress in understanding and applying techniques for managing pain. Years of athletics has taken its toll on my body along with damage from a career in an office environment sitting and working at computers.
Starr’s techniques are simple – but highly effective and have enabled me to get back to activities that were otherwise difficult. The breathing techniques that Starr has taught us are also helpful in lowering stress, lowering blood pressure, and even reducing inflammation and supporting immune health.
Starr listens to all of her students and their body challenges – usually lower back, neck, hips and shoulders, and then tailors her routine to helping with those specific challenges. I recommend Starr’s class, along with her lower back series, to anyone that has to cope with recovering from an injury or deal with the aging process and arthritis or wants to learn a mindful and effective injury prevention yoga routine. Quite frankly, my body feels refreshed and rejuvenated and my mental health and attitude are uplifted from regularly attending her yoga for health and healing class.”
